Brown rice flour is best combined with other flours to avoid a grainy texture. Use to thicken soup by first making a paste and slowly adding to hot soup, before bringing to the boil and simmering for 2-3 minutes. Rice flour can be used to thicken any soups, stews or sauces in the same way. Brown Rice Flour is naturally gluten free, however as there is a risk of cross contamination in the packing, processing or storage of this flour we do not mark it as gluten free, it is not certified. It is suitable for people avoiding gluten, but if coeliac or highly intolerant to gluten this product is not recommended.
